Using Pairwise Comparisons to Determine Consumer Preferences in Hotel Selection

We consider the problem of evaluating preferences for criteria used by university students when selecting a hotel accommodation during professional development program in foreign country. Input data analysis come from survey 202 respondents, who indicated their age, sex and whether they have previously visited The under evaluation are location, cost, typical guests, free breakfast, room amenities courtesy staff. respondents assess both directly providing estimates absolute ratings ranks, indirectly relative using ratios pairwise comparisons. To improve accuracy derived comparisons, we concurrently apply principal eigenvector method, geometric mean method log-Chebyshev approximation. Then, results direct indirect ranks examined together to analyze how comparisons may differ each other assessment respondents. statistical techniques, such as estimation means, standard deviations correlations, vectors provided or then use make accurate study.
